I'm going to channel my inner Yorkshire Pudding.  A field of canola northeast of the city.

Exaltation of The Holy Cross Parish, Skaro.

 Broadmoor Park.

Deermound dog park with a very grumpy grandchild who was up and awake at 4am.  Gracie is back in hospital, undergoing detox and heading for rehab again.  Gracie's sister dropped the ball, she believed the lies her sister were telling her.  Jack will stay with us and I'm applying for day to day parenting this week.

  1. What a mess Gracie has made of her life! I'm glad that Jack has a safe harbor but sad that he's had to go through the wringer with her. 4 am? Ugh. I do think there is usually more than one fuck so I vote for fucks' sake.

  2. Well, it depends on whether or not the speaker (or writer) has any more fucks to give, which would determine if it's singular or plural fucks.
Is Gracie's sister naive or what?

  3. Will the day to day parenting be a permanent thing or will you have to reapply down the track?

    1. It can be permanent or for a fixed time from what I understand.

  7. My Irish family members opt for "fucking Heaven's sake" which depending on circumstances could more more inclusive.
Every child deserves a grandmother like you.

  8. Love the photo of the boy in the meadow; especially given the circumstances you outlined.
    And that meme is priceless.

  9. They lie so convincingly, those alcoholics. It takes a while to realize you can't believe a word they say. Sadly, Jack is the one who suffers while his aunt has to figure that out. He breaks my heart.

  10. Given half a chance, Yorkshire Pudding is going to channel his outer Yorkshire Pudding! Nice picture of Mr Grumpy traversing the field. What did he do to deserve a mummy like Gracie? Poor little mite.

  11. That picture of the church is AMAZING! Excellent shot!
Jack is getting tall, isn't he? And why must these children get up so early and then be tired and grumpy all day? Levon does this.
I am sorry to hear about Gracie but I am also glad. She needs help and her sister needed her eyes opened.
Let us know how your request to have full-time care of Jack goes.

  12. The photos a wonderful. Gracie's sister seems to have her own problems. Too bad Jack pays for it. I'm glad you are applying for the parenting.

  13. So glad you are there for Jack. He needs you and your husband so. Every time he is alone with Gracie she does more damage. Hold him close. xx0x0 N2

  14. The roller coaster called Gracie. Never ending and way too jarring to be fun.

Wouldn't it be lovely if she finally got repaired, got whole and became the mother that Jack deserves.

I'm sorry you are on this damn ride.

  15. I am hoping your application is successful. I know it must be hard for Gracie's family, but enough is enough they have to think of Jack first now. Either they are trying to do right by him, or they are not - plain and simple.
