The sun in Edmonton moves all year long.  In the summer it rises in the northeast and in the winter it rises in the southeast.

It's not hard to the see the sunrises in the wintertime, they're not until 9am in December.

  1. I like sunrises but now that I'm retired I rarely see one. :)

  3. That was beautiful - but I'm like the others, I rarely see the sunrise now, although when I do I LOVE it!

  4. Yes. And sunsets, the same. Proof that indeed we are twirling and whirling around the sun.

  5. I see the sunrise in S. Colorado all too often because I am awake and up with the drapes pulled so I can see the sunrise! This Sunday morning, however, it's pretty foggy out here ... so, no spectacular sunrise this morning!
Your video of your sunrises are beautiful!

  6. What a fantastic video! I sometimes see sunrises but what I lack here in the city is a clear horizon -- so I can never get shots like that. For me sunrises are much more about reflected light in the clouds.

  8. That's so beautiful! Thank you. I'm pretty much always awake for sunrise and have a splendid view. No view at all for sunsets. For that matter, I rarely see sunsets.

The light and heat in my living changes dramatically with the changing point where the sun rises.

  10. Thanks for sharing this Nurse Lily. A beautiful photo project but I think I would have picked different background music.
