Actual patient left in the bathroom:)
I made it back to work today, feeling sorry for myself because I'm still tired and bloated. Then I found out that one co worker was diagnosed with cancer, another co worker's five year old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumour and a third co worker went home last week to find her dog dead in the house. I pulled my head out of my ass and got on with the job.
Jack's excited because it's Halloween tomorrow night. He wanted to know who was giving out the candy (me) and who was taking him trick or treating (poppa). He's happy.
We've all had tragedy in our world (or will) but some people have an excessive amount, it seems to me. The actual patient has been waiting a long time, eh? ;) Jack's happiness over Halloween would make everyone more excited; children have that effect on us adults at the holidays.
ReplyDeleteGood lord, that is gruesome! I'm so happy that little Jack will have a wonderful Halloween.
ReplyDeleteDear oh dear, that's a gruesome bathroom scene! Yes, sometimes perspective is just what we need, isn't it. I hope Jack has a fabulous Halloween!
ReplyDeleteOh man, there's nothing like hearing other people's trauma to rearrange your thoughts is there - but you are perfectly entitled to your thoughts too. You've been through a lot!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I must be a true narcissist because hearing news about other people who are suffering far more than I am just makes me feel worse.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I walked into that bathroom I would totally lose it.
Anyway, happy Halloween! I hope Jack has a terrific time trick-or-treating.
If I walked into that restroom, I would probably crap myself! Thanks for that! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes ... Terrible news upon your return to work ... terrible news around the World!
Will there ever be peace? SMH 😒
I hope Jack has a fun time tonight and that it's not too scary for him!
Hats off to whoever decorated the bathroom. That's very creative. I do hope you get over the rest of covid, it's just horrid how it can hang on. When we had it, we were amazed at how long and how deeply we were sleeping.
ReplyDeleteHilarious decorated bathroom. I hope we get to see a picture of Jack in his Halloween costume.
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner is: The person who decorated the bathroom! Well done!
ReplyDeleteWow, that bathroom is pretty terrifying! Yes, a sense of perspective helps when considering one's own difficulties. I once came home to find my cat dead (old age). It was very surreal.
