The week in photos.  Jack and Heidi in the snow.  Heidi is looking for mice under the snow.  The temp has gone from -32C to 10C in just a few days.  It's wonderful to be outside again, without risk of frostbite:)

Jack had to climb up this pile of snow and wanted his photo taken.

The snow is melting fast.

Katie had a tough morning.  I didn't take her out last Sunday because I was sick.  I think she was feeling anxious this morning, unsure if I would show up or not.  When she's upset, she takes it out on her face.  She looks like she got into a hockey game.  She's okay and not in pain.  We had a good visit.

I went to a protest yesterday, a protest against our corrupt Premier.  I'm glad I went.

AI is good for somethings:)

  3. I was just thinking what a lovely photo that is of Jack, and then I saw poor Katie's face! I'm so glad you got to see her eventually though. I'm sure she's happier for it!

    1. Katie has permanent scars on her forehead and wrists from banging. It's how she deals with strong emotions and it breaks my heart.

  4. I love the photos, especially the creek in the birch forest.
Oh yes, you live in 'that province'. I am not surprised about corruption in your province. I might take a look tomorrow at what is going on.

    1. Alberta didn't used to be like this but the UCP came into power and it's horrible, right wing and corrupt.

  5. Lovely picture of Jack against that cobalt blue sky. I like the way he is holding his hands to keep them warm. Perhaps you should get that image framed - a happy moment in time. As for Justin Trudeau, I never realised that he was gay but in the last picture he seems to be enjoying himself on The Donald Duck ride.

    1. Your comment about Trudeau and trump made me laugh. Jack's hands were cold because he wouldn't keep them out of the snow, or wear mittens. What can you do?

  6. Jack is king of the castle! Poor Katie, her wounds look painful but glad to hear they aren't. High five to you for going to that protest! I saw coverage of it on the news. And I love that hockey photo edit -- I must send it to my sister, LOL!

    1. Katie has been to the hospital numerous times for head banging but the last time, the ER doc said, as long as it's the front of her head, don't worry because the bone there is the thickest. The scars are awful though but I guess they're also a literal reminder of how she feels.

  7. Look at Jack, all proud and good-looking! But poor Miss Katie. I know she's all right but oh, she looks so upset. She loves her mama.

    1. I worry about what will happen to her if I were to get sick, and when I die. Nothing I can do about it but still, I do like to worry:)

  8. If Heidi was looking for mice under the snow, what was Jack looking for?

    1. Fun, I think he was looking for fun:) Actually, he was burying her leash in the snow, no idea why.

  9. That's a great picture of Jack in the sun. Any chance of voting out the current corrupt party, asks the person living in the US wondering if there will ever be another free and fair election again.

    1. We have a much different system here and she can even be voted out by her own party members. One can hope.

  10. What a beautiful portrait of Jack on top of the snow mountain. Definitely frame that one. And oh, poor Ms Katie. I'm glad she's not in pain but I hurt for her with that bruise. Your darling girl.

    1. Miss Katie has been abusing herself for years now when she's upset. This is probably the worst I've ever seen though.

  12. That's a sweet photo of Jack! The warmer temperatures are hopeful for spring and we all need some sun, blue sky and warmth. Poor Katie! I'm glad she's OK and that you had a good visit.
