RIP mum. Mum died thirteen years ago, I miss her still. She had a wonderful sense of humour and believed very strongly that a good walk, fresh air, and a hot bath could do wonders for your health and general sense of well being. She wasn't wrong.
She is beautiful with a lovely smile. We never stop missing our parents. My dad was the one with the sense of humor and mom was a problem solver. I was very close to both of them.
A lovely person inside and out.
ReplyDeleteShe was, not perfect, but I know she loved me.

ReplyDeleteI think it's mum's sense of humour that kept her going all those years:)
DeleteA lovely lady <3
ReplyDeleteShe was very beautiful.
DeleteWise woman! She has a great smile.
ReplyDeleteMum is the one who taught me to enjoy long walks and gardening.
DeleteShe looks friendly, strong, and sensible in that photo. Like a young Princess Elizabeth back in the day.
ReplyDeleteShe was a strong woman who went through a lot in life.
DeleteWhat a lovely woman! We miss our mothers the most.
ReplyDeleteI know I do. Took me a long time to stop crying every night after she died.
DeleteShe sounds like a strong and funny lady I wish I'd known. A bit like mine.
ReplyDeleteAnd she had a British sense of humour:)
DeleteEh? What's that my dear?
DeleteI still miss my mom after 20 years and suspect that will never change. It's like a real adjustment never gets made, doesnt it. -Kate
ReplyDeleteShe knew me the longest of anybody in this life. And now I'm crying.
DeleteHappy birthday to your mother. A good day to remember her with love.
ReplyDeleteIt was the anniversary of her death Mary, but you couldn't know that. Dad died in February as well, on Valentine's day:)
DeleteMy father died in 2011 & I still get emotional at times.
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling.
DeleteIt's a nice photo to remember her by.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so young. It was taken during the war.
DeleteI’m glad you had her as long as you did. I loved my mom too. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I did too.
DeleteThere's something truly reassuring in your mother's presence.
ReplyDeleteMum was a nice lady who made friends easily. She would always help someone.
DeleteI admire your mother's fashion sense and in her honour I think that you should sometimes dress in the very same manner. She had a nice face.
ReplyDeleteMe in a house dress? Not gonna happen. I'm a strictly sweats or jeans woman.
